Partner, Leslie Reyes, founded Reyes & Schroeder Associates, P.C with the primary goal of helping individuals in her local community seek justice. Mrs. Reyes is a well-respected attorney in the Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Bernardino County and San Diego County areas, with expertise representing clients in all aspects of criminal, immigration and family law matters.
As a multi-lingual, first-generation Mexican-American, growing up in Upland, California, Mrs. Reyes is intimately familiar with the struggles of the immigrant community. Through her work with the community via the pro-bono, immigration group, Kids In Need of Defense (KIND), she came to know the hardships a family suffers when a loved one is placed in custody, either by immigration or criminal authorities. Knowing these hardships, Mrs. Reyes dedicated her practice to providing a pathway for families to remain together and united. Through intelligent and unwavering advocacy, she fights continuously to obtain justice for her clients.
Mrs. Reyes specializes in representing clients in a variety of criminal law, immigration law and family law matters. Her criminal defense specialties include felonies, misdemeanors, DUIs and post-conviction relief, such as expungements and motions to vacate. Mrs. Reyes also specializes and has extensive expertise in representing clients in all stages of deportation defense matters before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and consular processing. In addition, Mrs. Reyes represents individuals and families in all areas of family law, including, divorce, child custody, child support, domestic violence, temporary restraining orders and prenuptial agreements.
In addition to tirelessly fighting on behalf of her clients, Mrs. Reyes dedicates much of her time to helping her local community by informing them of their rights. Mrs. Reyes has teamed up with LatinoMex Radio, every Monday evening, to inform and advise the community on current legal matters. She has also teamed up with Radio Host, Ignacio "Nachin" Sandoval and La Numero Uno Radio, every Tuesday evening, to discuss hot topics in immigration, criminal, and family law. Additionally, Mrs. Reyes works with community directors to provide free legal fairs and workshops all throughout Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Orange Counties. Mrs. Reyes believes it is extremely important for the community to be well informed about their legal rights, which is why she volunteers her time to aiding the community in keeping informed about the ever changing and complex legal landscape.
Mrs. Reyes earned her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School, where she served as president of the Latino Law Student Association (LLSA), pro bono counsel on Southwestern’s Immigration Clinic, and legal intern for various criminal defense firms. Prior to entering law school, Mrs. Reyes graduated from the University of San Diego with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Throughout her career, Mrs. Reyes has vigorously fought to obtain justice and relief for her clients.
