Facebook Fined $5B by FTC For Privacy Violations

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) has issued a settlement with Facebook, fining the company a record-breaking $5 billion for committing privacy violations in defiance of its 2012 consent decree. The fine is the highest in the history of global privacy enforcement, and requires extensive reforms to Facebook’s corporate governance structure in order to instill higher accountability and transparency in its privacy practices. President Trump to Start Massive ICE Deportation Raids This Weekend

President Trump has ordered U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to begin raids this Sunday. It has been reported that ICE will target at least 10 cities this weekend. ICE claims their primary targets are criminals and those with removal orders from judges who have failed to leave the country. NEWS ALERT:  President Trump Promises Deportation Raids If Immigration Deal Not Reached

President Trump has indicated that federal authorities will significantly ramp up deportation raids of undocumented individuals, should Congress be unable to reach an agreement on immigration in the coming weeks. The President indicated massive raids and arrests would begin on Sunday, June 23rd, but then postponed the plan for two weeks to give Congress time to broker a deal.
